Hi, I’m Emma. 👋🏻 I am a full-time lawyer, part-time artist, and the creator behind Bramble & Vale. 💭

I launched my shop in 2020 from a tiny one-room apartment in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. 🗼 What began as a small creative outlet to escape my day job has grown into something I’m so proud of. Today I live in a quiet village just outside Malvern, Herefordshire, and with a toddler in tow, life could not be more different to those early days of Bramble & Vale (which has been known by a few names since!). 🏡

Balancing my career, family, and creating art has been challenging at times, but keeping Bramble & Vale as a passion rather than a full-time job has given me the freedom to explore new ideas, experiment with different mediums, and create without pressure. 👩🏻🎨

My work has evolved over the years, but I’ve developed a love for designing pins inspired by favourite places and stories in film 🎬, books 📖 , and TV 📺. I also adore creating floral patterns, which find their way onto lanyards, socks, deskpads, stationery, and more. 🌺🌸🪻🌿🌻 My style blends my love of nature, a touch of quirky humour (see: my sticker section), and (a little bit of) nerdiness.
